Bringing The Light To A World Living In Darkness
A Place To Come And Renew Your Spirit

I hope you will take time to stop and look around before moving on. My name is Jim and I am a native born Californian, raised in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains in a little town called Twain Harte. It is hard to live that close to Yosemite Valley and not truly believe that if God had created a more beautiful place on earth, He is keeping it to himself. Over the years I have traveled a bit and yet I always return home to California and you will probably get a slight sense of that as we go along. I should warn you, I’m a pretty conservative stand up guy and the only causes you will find on these pages will have an American flag wrapped around them. My chest still puffs out, an chills go down my spine when I hear America the Beautiful or the Star Spangled Banner or when I see my flag go by in full parade. That is just a part, though not all, of what you will find in here. As my old pappy used to say, “If it's worth doing boy, it's worth doing right”, actually he used to say a lot of other stuff too, but then he was my dad, you will meet him later...
On the other hand, these pages are really not all about me, that would be far to boring, instead I hope to introduce some other things that will be of interest to all of you. Some friends may pop up for a visit now and again, Then there will be the joke or two. There will be a place where you can stop and reflect on what is, what was and possibly what will be. There will also be a room to find Gods Word and reflect on its meaning in our lives.
And so my friends, I am really honored you have taken the time to visit with me and I invite you to sit back, relax, and just enjoy the ride… Don’t know exactly where we are going yet, but I can assure you we will get there in grand style. Hopefully there will be a smile or two, a sense of peace in your heart and maybe even a tear for some of those we meet who will touch our lives along the way.
Please don't forget to sign my Guest Book so I know you have visited, and I encourage you to use the various links available to bookmark the site and tell your friends about my little oasis.
A Tale of Two Cities
A traveler nearing a great city, asked an elderly man seated by the wayside,
"What are the people like in the city?"
"How were the people where you came from?"
"A terrible lot," the traveler responded.
"Mean, untrustworthy, detestable in all respects."
"Ah," said the man,
"you will find them the same in the city ahead."
Scarcely was the first traveler gone when another one stopped
and also inquired about the people in the city before him.
Again the old man asked about the people in the place the
traveler had left.
"They were fine people; honest, industrious, and generous to a fault.
I was sorry to leave," declared the second traveler.
The wise man responded:
"So you will find them in the city ahead."
Wisdom is not Knowledge, In and of itself. Rather Wisdom is a Union of Knowledge and Experience Tempered with Understanding!
